The ZAP&GO charger is the first supercapacitor based charger for smart phones.
It charges in just 5 minutes and means that your mobile experience will be changed forever
Why ZAP&GO
Anyone who has travelled extensively on business, knows that a smart phone is an essential connection to the wider world. But whenever you travel you see fellow travelers clustered around charging points at airports, train stations and conference venues – in fact, wherever people can attempt to charge their mobile devices. This is because lithium batteries need to be charged slowly. Now new security controls mean you must be able to power-on your device if you want to carry it in hand luggage. Existing charger products are also lithium battery based so also charge slowly. By contrast ZAP&GO is supercapacitor based and charges fast.
People evolve their own personal strategies to keep their mobile device charged but this is often stressful and time consuming. It also means carrying a whole bunch of cables, plugs and general clutter. It can take between 2 and 4 hours to recharge a regular smart phone.
ZAP&GO was founded in 2013 with the aim to build a whole new type of charger specically for the traveler. The ZAP&GO charger is designed to charge any type of mobile device from a phone to a tablet that has a standard 5v USB (Universal Serial Bus) port. This includes Android, iOS and Windows devices and all of the major manufacturers including Apple, Amazon, HP, HTC, LG, Microsoft, Nokia, Samsung, Sony, etc.

How it works
The charger is available with international power plugs, and works very simply: you find a power socket and plug in. The lights on the ZAP&GO charger will illuminate as it takes in 1,500mAh of charge into the graphene supercapacitor. This is enough to fully charge an Apple iPhone 5, 75% charge an iPhone and 50% charge an Apple iPad Air. This process will take up to 5 minutes, but will be less if your ZAP&GO charger is partially charged already.
When the ZAP&GO is fully charged you will hear a confirmation sound. At this point you have two choices. You can:
- Unplug your ZAP&GO and run for your flight, and your phone or tablet will continue to charge normally, even though you are no longer plugged in, or
- Continue to use the ZAP&GO charger as a regular phone adaptor while you can remain by the plug.
ZAP&GO also helps to eliminate some of that clutter we also have to carry around because it will charge any device you carry with a USB port. You no longer need to carry your phone, e-book, tablet and headphone adaptors!
